Lab 5: Monday June 22, 2008 -- Inserts and Other instruments

In this lab you will explore a variety of inserts and other soft instruments. Refer to the document - inserts - for a guided tour.

You should try all of the following signal modification inserts:

• compressor
• equalizer
• distortion and ring modulator
• reverb (note that reverb should be on a "bus" to reduce load per track)
• pitch/time change

Then you should explore the soft instruments such as:

• EXS24 (general sampler)
• Sculpture (try the presets)
• EVOC20 (vocoder/synth)
